ANTIQUE DOORKNOB COLLECTORS OF AMERICA 2020 Virtual Convention Auction The ADCA will be conducting an Auction during our Zoom meeting on Saturday, October 17, 2020. Below are some of the lots which will be included in the auction, along with others that individual members may hold up to their computer camera during the meeting. The minimum bid prices are the starting price for the listed item, as determined by the seller. If no one bids at least that minimum bid, the the items will not be sold. Your bid will include USPS insured domestic shipping from the seller to the buyer. If you win and item, the buyer will need to contact the seller and arrange to make payment.
Lot 1 · Corbin Enamel Hinge, c. 1875
A Corbin enamel hinge with intact factory-applied blue and black enamel hinge plate covers. The additional photos show the potions of the hinge hidden behind the plate covers. Minimum bid $750.00
Lot 2 · Corbin Greek Soldier knob, c. 1876
A Corbin Greek head of a soldier, wearing a highly stylized helmet. In great condition -click photos in the gallery below for higher-resolution images. 2 1/2" diameter. A-34200 Minimum bid $500.00
Lot 3 · Russell & Erwin Geisha Hardware, c. 1880
This set includes a rare double keyhole Geisha "rose and escutcheon combined" with intact keyhole cover. Together with a A-30401 doorknob, a escutcheon and sash lift. Lot 4 · Hopkins & Dickinson Navy Seal knob, c. 1888
A Hopkins & Dickinson doorknob of special design by Richard von Ezdorf for the Navy portion of the State, War & Navy Building in Washington, DC. Lot 5 · Mallory Wheeler "Steamship" doorknob, c. 1882

Lot 6 · Russell & Erwin Plaza Hotel center knob, 1907
A 3" center knob from the legendary Plaza Hotel in New York. Features the double P monogram which was also found on the oval doorknobs. The knob is mounted on a piece of what appears to be mahogany using a threaded bolt, which appears to use the threaded attachment that originally contained a threaded spindle. Displays very well. A oil on canvas painting by artist Detra Prete entitled "Crystal", the recent painting features a set of antique hardware with glass doorknobs. Size: 8" x 10" Minimum bid $225.00
Lot 8 · Hopkins & Dickinson "Pigeon" doorknob, c. 1879
